Apple Crunch
5 Apples
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 T. Butter
1 c. Sugar
1 Egg
1/2 c. Flour
1/2 tsp. Baking powder
1 pinch salt
Peel & dice apples, sprinkle with cinnamon and 1/3 cup of the sugar. Cream butter and 2/3 cup sugar; add beaten egg. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add to mixture. Pour over apples. Spread on cookie sheet. Bake 30 minutes at
350°.
Beer Nuts
1 lb. raw peanuts
3/4 c. water
1 c. sugar
Salt
Combine sugar and water in heavy skillet. Cook on medium-low until all liquid evaporates, stirring constantly. Heavily salt a cookie sheet. Spread mixture onto sheet. Top heavily with more salt.
Bake at 275° for 1/2 hour, stirring once to prevent sticking.
Cheesy Popcorn
1/4 c. Uncooked popcorn
1 pkg. Butter Buds Mix, dry
1 tsp. Basil
1/2 tsp. Oregano
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
1/8 tsp. Pepper
Pop the popcorn. Combine warm popcorn with the remaining ingredients in a large bowl; toss to mix well.
Sugared Pecans
1 Egg white
1 tsp. cold water
1 c. Pecans
1/2 c. Sugar
1/4 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
Beat egg white. Add water; beat until frothy. Fold in pecans. Combine sugar, salt and cinnamon. Add to pecans. Mix. Spread in buttered 9" x 13" pan. Bake at 250° for 1 hour.
Bacon Roll-Ups
1 T. Milk
6 oz Cream cheese w/chives
25 slices Mixed grain sandwich bread
25 slices Bacon cut in halves
Combine milk and cheese. Spread about 2 tsp. on each side of bread. Roll bread and wrap with bacon. Place on broiler pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until bacon browns.
Noodle Nibbles
3 T. melted butter
2 tsp. soy sauce
4 drops hot sauce
1/4 tsp. celery salt
3 oz. chow mein noodles
Dash onion powder
Combine butter, soy sauce, and hot sauce. Drizzle over noodles until well coated. Sprinkle with celery salt and onion powder. Toss well; spread on cookie sheet. Bake at 275° for 12-15 min.
Berry Delight Fruit Dip
16 oz. Sour Cream
1/3 c. seedless raspberry jam
1 T. honey
1/4 tsp. grated lime rind
1 tsp. lime juice
Combine all ingredients in med. bowl and mix well. Cover and refrigerate several hours to blend flavors.
