About MaggieMadeIt
MaggieMadeIt.com was established in 1997 and quickly became one of the
premier sites teaching computer crafting. In 2009 the site was completely
revamped and expanded to
share some of Maggie's additional interests.
During the Vietnam war, Maggie served in the U.S. Army as a photo-journalist.
After being honorably discharged, she worked as a legal assistant for many
years. She was also an editor for PC Create It magazine (no
longer in publication).
Now retired, Maggie is a great-grandmother living in the
Midwest. She began knitting, sewing and cooking as a young child and discovered
the joys of computer crafting through the PALs (Print Artist Lovers) online
bulletin boards in the late 1990s. She was an organizer and co-hostess of
the 6th Annual National PALs Convention in Phoenix in 1999. Many
of her crafts have been featured in magazines, and she has taught crafting at
trade shows and conventions.
Currently, Maggie stays in touch with her large family on Facebook, digitizes
machine embroidery designs, works on her website, and creates new sewing
projects to feature on the site. Her "free" time is spent sewing, knitting,
and crafting birthday and holiday gifts for her
seven grandkids, great-grandson and other family members. Homemade is always the best!
Maggie is pictured below, holding her great-grandson and surrounded by her
grandkids.
The adorable little munchkin pictured on the left and right sides of this page is Patrick, Maggie's great-nephew and
one of the main men in her life.
